This Friday, the Defence force will swap army equipment for donation tins, to support the annual ‘Operation Working Wonders’ fundraising appeal for the Children’s Hospital Foundation. All funds raised will be added to the incredible Channel Nine Telethon tally of $12,230,565!
Members from the 8th/9th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment (8/9 RAR) will be out in force in the Brisbane CBD, including South Brisbane stations from 7am.
Our special Army collectors will also walk the streets of the Brisbane CBD throughout the day until 2pm, shaking their buckets to help sick kids.
The Channel Nine Telethon is a state-wide appeal harnessing the generous spirit of Queenslanders towards a very special cause – our children. Funds raised will help the Children’s Hospital Foundation support kids by funding life-saving medical research and providing patient and family support programs.
