Queenslanders dug deep to raise vital funds for the Channel Nine Telethon, in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. The event raised an incredible $12.3 million for sick kids and their families.
The Channel Nine Telethon phone panel included sporting legends Wally Lewis, Ian Healy, David Mead and Ben Hunt from the Brisbane Broncos, Origin Greats Ash Harrison and Kevin Campion as well as Nutri-Grain Ironwoman Tara Coleman.
Cast from The Block put down their paintbrushes and picked up the telephone, with Ben and Andy, Will and Karlie and Keith and Dan joining the Channel Nine Telethon to accept donations from callers.
Hyde & Seek stars Tai Hara, Claire Lovering and Jeremy Lindsay Taylor put fighting crime on hold as they raised money for Queensland’s sickest kids.
Celebrities were joined by 200 dedicated volunteers throughout the day at the Sunsuper Contact Centre, accepting an estimated 4,000 phone donations from generous callers.
