Our Partners

Together, we are working wonders for sick kids

We are incredibly fortunate to work with organisations committed to providing
the best possible treatment, care and support for sick kids and their families.

Woolworths

Woolworths and the Children’s Hospital Foundation have a truly special partnership, spanning more than 30 years. Since 1986, Woolworths team members and their generous customers have raised more than $56 million to work wonders for sick kids and their families.

The 250 Woolworths stores across Queensland and northern New South Wales are passionate about making a difference to patients and their families, through in-store fundraising, state-wide raffles, wall token campaigns, telethon parties, events and payroll giving.

Over the past 12 months, Woolworths’ fundraising efforts has enabled us to fund medical equipment in regional hospitals, including paediatric heart monitors, ultrasound equipment and respiratory therapy devices.

Last year we were delighted to launch the Woolworths Centre for Childhood Nutrition Research (WCCNR).  The WCCNR represents an extension of our fundraising partnership and a commitment to drive positive social change from innovative research into childhood nutrition.

The amazing partnership with Woolworths makes such a positive impact to many areas of the Children’s Hospital Foundation. When you visit Queensland Children’s Hospital you will be greeted by one of our lovely Woolworths wayfinders volunteers, who will help you navigate your way around the hospital.

Golden Casket

Over many decades and generations Golden Casket has donated millions of dollars to the Children’s Hospital Foundation. Golden Casket’s ongoing support has life-changing impacts for sick kids and their families, through funding for critical research programs.

Queensland Government

Our partnership with the Queensland Government makes an invaluable difference to the lives of our patients and their families. With the ongoing support of the Queensland Government, the Queensland Children’s Hospital has become truly a world-class paediatric facility providing the best care for our sickest kids around Queensland.

The Coffee Club

More than 20 years ago, The Coffee Club made a commitment to help find a cure for childhood cancer. To this day, The Coffee Club remains passionate about raising money for the Children’s Hospital Foundation through The Coffee Club Telethon Ball. Through the annual event, The Coffee Club has raised more than $1.8 million towards medical research to find faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for the most devastating childhood cancers.

The University of Queensland

We recognise and are very proud of the long-standing, multi-faceted relationship with the University of Queensland. The Children’s Hospital Foundation has consistently supported the research being carried out by, and in conjunction with the university; and has benefited not only from the findings of that research, but also from the contribution of the students across all facets of health science, who hone their studies and dedicate their time in the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Sunsuper

Sunsuper has proudly supported the Children’s Hospital Foundation since 2015. At our annual Channel Nine Telethon, the wonderful staff at Sunsuper Contact Centre open their doors to hundreds of Children’s Hospital Foundation volunteers taking calls from around the country, and receiving generous donations that will fund research and help very sick children.

Channel Nine

The Channel Nine Telethon is the biggest event in our calendar each year. Channel Nine’s state-wide appeal harnesses the generous spirit of Queenslanders towards a very special cause – our children. Funds raised have helped the Children’s Hospital Foundation fund millions of dollars towards life-saving medical research, investing in critical medical equipment, and providing comfort, entertainment, family support and care programs.

Nova 106.9

Nova 106.9 has generously come on board to support our annual Bids to Help Sick Kids campaign, in the lead-up to the Channel Nine Telethon. Nova 106.9 will raise the profile of the Children’s Hospital Foundation through its programming, and importantly, raise vital funds to help improve the lives of sick kids and their families.
